Another Buddha city

Wat Si Saket

Great company

Jessica and I made a girltrip together. It was great and adventurous from the start. Took an overnight train from Bangkok to Nong Khai, there was a guy got stabbed on the train and collapsed nearby our seats. All went well at the end. Then, two snakes came under our table while sipping Beer Lao on the MaeKhong River’s bank. Umm...what was next? Local minor bike crash nearby the hotel... That was enough to make out the three before all the good things would start.

Great local drink??

Thanks for the good company. Biking around the city and got lost, chilling in cafes and read for hours, teaching Jessica some Thai lessons for "he's eating white rice on a hill", prooving the locals that I'm not japanese (almost have to sing the Thai national anthem!), divining with a meditation session & local herbal sauna & Lao massage in the Forest Temple, etc...

If you go there, don't miss the banana shake and french baguette sandwich.

Vientiane memories

Had a chance to to visit Vientiane last weekend. Interesting small city. Can't believe it's the largest city of Laos and is the capital.

Got to Nong Khai too early, waiting to across the border

Ladykillers

West side:

Had a chance to visit friends in Singapore. I was hooked up by two little lady killers. Especially this one. 7-month-old Anton. He's so cute and adorable. He's fascinated by mirror!

Look so alike his dad, apart from the hair which was so so much lighter (almost none!).

Pictured at Whitebait & Kale Restaurant, Sunday brunch.

East side:

I was having (veggie) dinner with Krish (almost same age who has almost too much hair) while his dad, tried to show us how to control a helicopter. Whose toy is this??

Hope nobody gets lost here. I will though...

Did you know? It has the tallest controlling tower in the world.

Donmuang Airport

My last shot last Sunday of Donmuang Airport, after its long services. Now the new Suvarnabhumi airport is taking place. Heard of the hectic opened day? 28 Sep. Luggages lost, upset & hungry passagers....

Choices

Inspirations from an outsider...

She walked into the room, with a glass of drink in her hand. He found her, looked at her shyly. He was with friends, she was with friends. She was aware at his stare and wondered if she should give him a smile. Never got that encouragement to do so. Two corners of the room were filled with nothing else but inner silence and coyly glance of each other. She chose to finally give a radiant smile. He chose to act in mystery, tried to find himself the piece he lost. Few hours had gone. She decided to move to another room, slowly walked out. The world goes round as its normal clock pace.

Life is a funny, confusing thing. At one second, one thing happens that could have a thousand different endings, depending on what you choose to do, how you choose to act. When you act, the thousand different endings multiply to a million endings, because now, everyone you affected by choosing the choice that you did, will now choose how they will react to it. It is like a stone being dropped into a pond. The ripples go ever on, and you can never tell exactly when they stop, if they ever do. So, on that one day in a million, no one knows what would have happened if she had not given him her most radiant smile. No one knows what would happen if he chose to not being so mysterious and start to know real her. No one knows what brilliant and terrible things could have resulted. But since they didn't, they both walked out into the cold, grey world, and went their own separate ways. What could have been an intimacy, was not. Because the stone was never dropped.

The Break up

Went to see the Break up last night, I expected nothing more than just an ok and watchable chick flick drama for a quiet Saturday night. This turned to be an interesting movie since it reveals a fairly real-life view, the very human side, of a struggling relationship and its potential reconciliation. Several scenes made me nod and see the points. Not quite a romantic comedy one, I laughed, I cried, I smiled and at the end I left the theatre feeling a little empty.

It's impossible to swim in the same river twice. But one can be a smarter and stronger swimmer as you now learn the current. Cherish the breaking up. Life does not always go your way. And in that truth, it's a world of magnificent possibilities.

I better go to have a nap...making a lazy Sunday.
